Discovery Day Tuesday 31st JulyDiscovery Day is an opportunity for prospective and current families and students to view all of the Curricular and Co‐curricular oﬀerings available at Craigieburn Secondary College in a fun and harmonious way.
Hands on experiences, student performances, tours, live music, drama displays and key learning area displays are all a part of the CSC Discovery Day Experience. School Tours will be run from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.
Students are to be in full School Uniform.
Year 7 & 11
Year 11 students who are completing a Unit 3 & 4 subject (not VET subjects) will be required to attend their Year 12 class on this day. All other Year 7 & 11 students are not required at school as there are no formal classes.
Year 8 & 9
These students will participate in a Subject Selection Activity that will allow them to explore and discover subject oﬀerings and pathways for 2019. Each student in these year levels will complete a compulsory Passport that will require them to visit all subject displays and answer questions and complete tasks related to the subject. When the passport is complete, students will be entered into a draw to win some amazing prizes.
These students will have a Transition Interview with a teacher to help them prepare for 2019. Students will be informed of their interview times via mail prior to Discovery Day and will need to be in attendance at the College at least half‐an‐hour prior to their interview.
Year 12 VCE
All classes will run as normal on this day for students who are undertaking a Unit 3 & 4 subject. This includes students who are in Year 11 completing a Unit 3 & 4 subject (not VET).
