The Parents & Friends Association consists of parents from both the primary and secondary school.
This group of dedicated people is the main fundraising body for the P-12 complex.
Funds raised from their various events are distributed between both schools as needed, as agreed on by the members of the P&F association.
For the secondary school, each year Parents & Friends hold a second hand book sale in November. This sale is run to assist parents in purchasing school books for students at a much discounted rate. The sale is held over two days. Families have the opportunity to hand in books they no longer require on day one, and then purchase those they need on the second day. The money from any books sold is paid into a bank account nominated by each family. Any books not sold are available for collection from the front office. Profits from this sale are put towards school welfare.
Parents & Friends also provide 5 x $100 annual scholarships to one student, nominated by their teachers, from years 7 through to year 11. These are presented at the end of year awards night.
VCE scholarships are awarded to the two students who achieve the highest ATAR score and go on to further their education. These awards of $200 each are given at the Student Leaders Induction Ceremony each year.
Each year, Parents & Friends donate money towards the VCE formal. This assists in the keeping costs to a minimum for our year 12 students.
Parents & Friends generally have a representative on school council.
Parents & Friends meet on the first Monday of every month at 2.00pm in the main staff room. Members of the principal class of both schools attend their meetings, enabling parents to talk to them about a wide range of issues in an informal and friendly setting
These meetings are open to all families within the P-12 community and newcomers are always welcome.
